Chaos Cooking is an ongoing exploration into the artist’s relationship with food, cooking and sensory memories.
Part self-portrait, part performance, I used the kitchen as a backdrop to isolate and showcase foodstuffs in a light-hearted and humorous way by reducing the multi-sensory act of cooking to a visual medium. This removal of context results in a series of intriguing and ambiguous images, and I encourage the audience to fill in the blanks. I hope that this project expresses Ruby Tandoh’s idea that “there is so much more to eating than just eating.” (2018)
Pictures to come soon! Some from this series can be found on my Instagram.
